Boxing is one of the oldest sports with a thousand-year history. In 1743, the boxing ring got its final form thanks to the construction of the first amphitheatre for fist fights in England. As fist fights were held on a marked ring in English and were circular, the fighting area in the form of a square located in the centre of the amphitheatre inherited the ring as a tribute to its name. This was the prototype of today's rings. The shape of the ring has not changed since then. It is generally accepted that the main common approved rules of boxing were formulated in 1867 by John Grahan Chambers and included technical rules of boxing ring, equipment, general rules of rounds and fixed terminology like "knock-out" and "knock-down".
Currently, rings for competitions must meet the approved standards of the International Boxing Association. Regulations stipulate precise dimensions of the ring, its colour scheme, materials and additional necessary equipment.
Our company has produced rings since 1992 and during the whole period of time a great number of rings of various models have been produced. With the development of the boxing sporting world, new, regulated rings were introduced, in addition to the well-proven standard rings. Ring models for all purposes and tasks, such as equipment for sports halls, fitness and gyms, have appeared. Therefore, several models of rings are distinguished according to their shape, equipment and the presence or absence of a platform. According to their shape rings are divided into standard rings and polygonal rings, e.g. octagonal rings for MMA. According to the presence of a platform, rings are on a platform of different heights and floor rings, which are mounted and fastened to the floor, as an alternative to a special technical console, if there is no possibility to be fixed to the floor or if assembly and disassembly work should be carried out quickly. In terms of configuration, rings are titular (Olympic), competition, standard, mass. Title rings (Olympic rings) are used to organize title duels, and are used to train Olympic champions. Our competition rings are used for international, regional and local competitions. Standard rings are designed for systematic training and competition. Mass rings are designed for training and mass use in specialized boxing and multi-profile gyms.
Another ring type we produce is a ring for mixed martial arts tournaments Mixed Martial Arts or MMA in short. They differ from standard boxing rings and have their own regulated parameters. Such rings are used by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator MMA, Cage Warriors Fighting Championship (CWFC) and many others. In addition to the above, you can buy an outdoor ring in Ukraine to hold tournaments and various kinds of sports shows. Along with outdoor rings comes a tent canopy for the outdoor ring.
